We are expanding our In Home Services team in the North West suburbs of Melbourne and looking for additional experienced Disability Support Workers to join ONCALL and provide the best possible supports to our clients.

How will I help? 

These shifts will involve supporting our clients by providing daily assistance in their home and/or out in the community, allowing them to live as independently as possible. This can include support with personal care, administration of medication, meal preparation, manual handling, daily routines, achieving goals, community access and support with household tasks.

What do I need? 

• Proven experience in a similar Disability Support Worker role
• Recognised relevant qualifications
• Excellent communication and strong administrative skills
• Caring, compassionate and positive attitude 
• A registered, insured car and driver’s licence 
• Current training certificates in First Aid, CPR, Manual Handing and Medication

The following would also be highly valued:

• Willingness to work 2-hour shifts
• Availability to work early mornings
• Experience in manual handling and supporting people with spinal cord injuries
• Experience working with younger people who have experienced trauma
• Experience working with people with mental ill health or psychosocial disability
• Experience in working with people who have profound autism

All applicants must have the relevant mandatory screening clearances, hold relevant industry standard training certificates and qualifications and be willing to complete all required pre-employment training modules and induction sessions.
