ONCALL is currently seeking a suitably experienced Accountant to join our national finance team, based in our Victorian head office in Surrey Hills. In this full-time position, you will play an important role in managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and providing insights that support ONCALL’s decision-making processes. Your key duties will include: - Completing month-end procedures across multiple business entities, including adjusting journals and interpreting/analysing result movements
- Reconciliation of daily general and subsidiary bank accounts
- Day-to-day banking administration, including preparing and processing payment runs
- Supporting the Billings and Accounts Receivable team with claim reconciliation, receipt allocation and the resolution of unpaid, rejected and under-claimed items
- Reconciling revenue, receivables and unbilled balances between the billing system and the general ledger
- Preparing variance analysis against budget and forecast, with clear commentary on the drivers, for Finance Business Partners and operational managers
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual compliance reports – ABS, BAS, IAS, etc.
You will bring: - Proven experience in undertaking the accounting functions within a commercial organisation
- Bachelor of Commerce / Business / Accounting
- CA or CPA (Desirable)
- Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of financial reporting packages
- Understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
- Ability to maintain accuracy in financial records, detect errors, and reconcile discrepancies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting accounts receivable, banking and high-volume transactional processing
- Confidence working with operational stakeholders and translating financial results into plain-language insight
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to meet deadlines
- NetSuite experience and Multi-Entity Financial Management would be advantageous
