This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional looking to further develop their career within People & Culture while taking on increased responsibility, supporting leaders across the business, and providing guidance to People & Culture team members.

Reporting to National People and Culture Manager, the Senior People & Culture Advisor plays an integral role in delivering high-quality People & Culture services across the organisation. The role provides expert advice and support on employee relations, industrial relations, workforce compliance, recruitment, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives, while contributing to a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

About the Role

The Senior People & Culture Advisor will:

• Partner with managers and operational leaders to provide trusted People & Culture advice and support.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring and support to People & Culture Advisors, fostering capability development, knowledge sharing and consistent delivery of People & Culture services across the organisation.
• Support the implementation of People & Culture strategies, initiatives, policies and procedures across allocated business areas.
• Provide guidance and coaching to leaders on employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, grievances, disciplinary processes and workplace change.
• Interpret and apply relevant employment legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, organisational policies and procedures.
• Support workforce planning initiatives and workforce capability development.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, induction and training activities to ensure a skilled and compliant workforce.
• Monitor and support compliance with Fair Work legislation, NDIS requirements, organisational policies and Work Health and Safety obligations.
• Contribute to employee wellbeing initiatives and the promotion of a positive, inclusive and respectful workplace culture.
• Maintain accurate employee records and support the integrity of HR systems and reporting.
• Provide mentoring, guidance and support to People & Culture team members where required.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
   

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Experience in a People & Culture, Human Resources or Employee Relations role within a generalist HR environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks, awards and contemporary HR practices.
• Experience managing employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations and workplace grievances.
• The ability to build effective working relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound judgement, professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
