We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to an organisation that supports people living with disability.

Reporting to the NDIS Finance Transformation Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate billing, receipting, reconciliations, and financial administration across our services. Working closely with operational teams and external stakeholders, you will help maintain strong financial processes and support positive outcomes for participants and the organisation.

About the Role
As our Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Daily reconciliation and receipting of bank payments
  • Processing and submitting invoices, including NDIS-related billing and claims
  • Managing accounts receivable and collection activities for non-NDIS clients
  • Reviewing service delivery data to ensure billing accuracy
  • Reconciling NDIS payments and resolving claim discrepancies, rejections, and underpayments
  • Maintaining accurate financial records within NetSuite
  • Liaising with internal teams to investigate and resolve billing queries
  • Monitoring participant funding balances and advising relevant stakeholders when funding is running low
  • Ensuring compliance with current NDIS pricing arrangements, service codes, and funding rules
  • Identifying opportunities to improve billing processes and financial systems
  • Assisting with accounts payable functions as required
  • Supporting internal and external audit activities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable or similar finance role
  • Strong bank reconciliation and receipting experience
  • Experience processing invoices and managing accounts receivable functions
  • Knowledge of NDIS billing and claiming processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience using financial systems, ideally NetSuite
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Desirable

  • Experience using NDIS software platforms
  • Previous experience in the disability, community services, or not-for-profit sector
  • Knowledge of the SCHADS Award and NDIS Practice Standards
