We are seeking a capable and compassionate People & Culture Coordinator with a strong administrative foundation and a genuine interest in Return to Work (RTW) coordination. Based at our Surrey Hills Head Office, this role supports employees, leaders and the wider business through responsive HR services while playing a key role in supporting injured and unwell employees back to work safely and sustainably.
About the role
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines core HR coordination with Workcover case support, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with people, processes and purpose.
You will be a trusted first point of contact for P&C enquiries and play an important role in maintaining compliant, caring and well‑coordinated RTW practices.
Key responsibilities
People & Culture coordination
- Act as the first point of contact for internal and external HR enquiries
- Triage and respond to first‑level People & Culture queries with accuracy and care
- Maintain employee personnel files, HR systems and compliance
- Support onboarding and manage administrative offboarding processes
- Draft employment variation letters and manage employee lifecycle changes
- Assist with performance management and disciplinary processes as required
- Support P&C projects aligned to strategic workforce and operational objectives
Workcover coordination
- Support the coordination and implementation of Workcover plans for injured or unwell employees
- Liaise with injured workers, managers, insurers, medical providers and other stakeholders
- Maintain regular, supportive contact with injured workers throughout the rehabilitation process
- Assist in identifying suitable duties, restrictions and workplace adjustments
- Communicate Workcover plans, progress and updates to leaders and relevant teams
- Provide regular updates and reporting to P&C leadership
- Ensure Workcover documentation and records are accurate, complete and compliant
What you’ll bring
You are organised, empathetic and discreet, with strong judgement and the ability to balance care with compliance.
You will also bring:
- A Diploma in Human Resources or relevant experience in HR/administration
- Prior experience in Workcover
- Experience in a highly regulated or compliance‑focused environment
- Strong organisation, time management and problem‑solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication, with confidence engaging stakeholders
- High attention to detail and respect for confidentiality
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint essential)
- A flexible, adaptable and solutions‑focused mindset
- A genuine commitment to supporting people with disability, children and young people
Experience in Workcover coordination or the disability/community services sector is highly regarded, but not essential.
