We are looking for a 0.6 Full Time Equivalent Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our dynamic and growing team! The successful candidates will have an excellent understanding of positive behaviour support, restrictive practices, advocating for the rights of people with a disability, writing and evaluating positive behaviour support plans. Responsibilities include: - Undertake functional analysis and Positive Behaviour Support Planning
- Provide behavioural assessment of a client’s presenting issues and support needs, and identify appropriate supports, interventions, and service models
- Provide assessment to design and develop intervention plans and strategies, including Lifestyle & Behaviour Support Plans and Risk Assessment & Management Plans
- Undertake specific assessments, such as adaptive functioning
- Prepare, write and deliver assessment reports
- Provide support, advice and direction to groups and individuals
- Facilitate the delivery of clinical frameworks and activities
- Provide PBS advice and support across SACARE as per service delivery needs
About You: - A passionate self-starter who can deliver high quality services
- Experience working with children (desirable)
- Extensive experience in functional analysis of behaviours
- Experience in developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Experience working with individuals with complex behavioural support needs
- Takes ownership of work and associated responsibilities
- Has a strong ethical compass and cultivates credibility
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills
The minimum requirements: - A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Social Work or Teaching)
- Have extensive experience in functional analysis of behaviours
- Have experience developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Have experience working with individuals with complex behavioural support needs
- Eligible to be register or registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Be self-driven and comfortable working autonomously
- Have a valid NDIS Worker Clearance Check
- Have a valid Working With Children Check
- Driver’s license
- Understanding of working within the NDIS framework
