Occupational Therapist
Salisbury, SA

We are looking for Occupational Therapists to join our expanding team. Specialising in working with people living with a disability, the successful applicant will contribute as a key member of our multi-disciplinary team.

 

About the role

 

We have several permanent part-time or full-time opportunities available for Occupational Therapists with a variety of experience, ranging from graduate to senior roles. The roles are open to Occupational Therapists with a particular interest in complex disability care, and a passion for supporting people to achieve their goals. Based mostly at our state of the art facility, 'The Gums', this role will provide flexible delivery of services according to client need, in the community, people’s homes, and within any of our facilities in South Australia.

Co-located with an experienced team including physiotherapists, positive behaviour support practitioners and allied health assistants, this opportunity allows you to continue to develop your professional skills whilst benefitting from a multi-disciplinary environment.

This role will involve:

  • Managing a diverse caseload.
  • Participating in the multi-disciplinary management of SACARE clients.
  • Providing supervision and guidance to team members and students.
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration within the multidisciplinary team
  • Contributing to the development and evaluation of high quality services.
  • Participating in professional development and education of colleagues.
  • Ensuring compliance with service policies, documentation standards, and contractual obligations.

Occupational Therapy support and supervision is available from highly experienced staff, alongside professional development opportunities including in-house training and external opportunities.

Skills and experience

 

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the provision of service to a facility and community-based caseload with a variety of disabilities of varying complexity and must hold current registration with AHPRA.

To be considered for the roles at any level, you will bring:

  • Experience in providing Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions.
  • An understanding and knowledge of client needs in relation to report writing for NDIS and other funding bodies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a drive to improve the quality of life for our participants.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening & Working with Children check (or willingness to undergo)
  • Satisfactory completion of Child Safe Environments training (can be provided by SACARE)
  • Current and unrestricted South Australian Driver's License

To be considered for a senior role, we are looking for someone with a minimum of 4 years' experience with broad experience in Occupational Therapy practice.
