SACARE Oncall is currently looking for superstar Enrolled Nurses who are passionate about a client-centred approach to care. This is a newly created opportunity within our team and will form part of a team of clinicians across SACARE delivering high-quality nursing care and guiding support workers. Together, you’ll help to improve the client quality of life and support them to meet their life goals. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Promoting independence and helping clients regain their confidence and to engage in meaningful activities.
- Providing nursing services including catheter management, wound care, enteral feed management, diabetes management, seizure management etc.
- Ensuring that care provided is safe, meets standards and is sustainable.
- Working positively and collaboratively with other staff and qualified practitioners to provide proactive person-centred service and support, that is safe and effective for clients.
- Ensuring medications are administered in a timely and safe manner in accordance with scope of practice and advise the Registered Nurse of any concerns or adverse reactions.
- Providing assistance, guidance, direction, support, mentoring and coaching, as
required, to support workers on each shift - Maintaining current knowledge of contemporary best practice clinical care within
the scope of enrolled nursing practice - Reporting incidents and risks in a timely manner
- Keeping detailed records and ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts.
What do I need? - Tertiary qualifications or equivalent including holding an Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Medication Endorsed Enrolment registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current NDIS Workers Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Manual Handling Certificate
- Unrestricted Driver’s License
- Minimum 2 years experience
