Finance Officer
Fixed term - Surrey Hills

ONCALL is currently seeking a Finance Officer to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract basis. This role will see you combining Accounts Payable (AP) duties with general accounting support and will be ideal for someone with strong AP experience who is currently studying toward a professional accounting qualification and looking to transition into a broader career in finance.
Your key duties will include:
Processing supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding
Preparing payment runs in line with payment schedules
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
Responding to AP-related queries from internal and external stakeholders
Assisting with month-end processes, including journal entries and accruals
Supporting bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with fixed asset management and depreciation schedules
Providing documentation and support for audits and reporting
You will bring:
Demonstrated experience in an Accounts Payable role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Proficiency with financial systems and Excel
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Currently studying toward a relevant accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, CA, ACCA)
Exposure to general ledger or month-end processes
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Xero, NetSuite, or similar)
