About the Role We are currently seeking compassionate and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team on the Sunshine Coast! In this role, you will provide support to clients with high behaviour support needs. Supporting these clients requires an empathetic approach, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate very clearly. You will be supported by an experienced team leader and have access to additional training to manage the complexities of this role. How Will I Help? You will empower clients to achieve their goals and support them with individual care needs in areas such as wellbeing, housekeeping, personal care, meal preparation, daily activities, and community participation. Experience in managing behaviours, supporting clients with dementia and developing person-centred positive relationships will be key. - At least 6 months of local work experience in the Disability Sector
- Experience and confidence assisting with all Personal Care requirements is essential
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and current Blue Card
- Drivers Licence
