About the Role

Supporting our clients requires an empathetic approach, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate very clearly. You will be supported by an experienced team leader and have access to additional training to manage the complexities of this role.

How Will I Help?

These shifts will involve supporting our clients by providing daily assistance in a shared home or individual residence, allowing them to live as independently as possible. This will include personal care, administration of medication, meal preparation, manual handling, help with routines, community access and support with household tasks. Supports may be required across a 24/7 roster and will vary depending on the person’s needs, goals and preferences.

What Do I Need?

• Previous experience in a similar Disability Support Worker role, including working in a SIL environment
• Recognised Disability qualifications
• Experience and confidence supporting clients with complex needs, including dysphagia, epilepsy, diabetes, stoma care, hoisting and HIPDA-related requirements
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience supporting people with different communication needs, including sign language, would be an advantage
• Positive behaviour support experience
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card
• Current First Aid and CPR training
• Manual Handling and Medication training, done at an RTO
• A registered, insured car and driver’s licence 
• Good availability and flexibility to accept a wide range of shifts at different times.

About the Role

Your Role as an Occupational Therapist at SACARE

You’ll provide high-quality, mobile occupational therapy services across a varied caseload, including NDIS, LSA, and private clients living with Multiple Sclerosis, MND, Huntington's and more. You’ll work in a flexible, autonomous way — whether in clients’ homes, the community, our rehab gyms, or our cutting-edge clinical facilities.

Your Day Might Include:

• Delivering evidence-based, client-centred therapy
• Completing high-quality assessments and reports
• Collaborating in case conferences and team planning
• Participating in 1:1 mentorship and peer support
• Engaging in social and professional team events

About the role:

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse's to work across a 24/7 roster. The role will focus on providing support to clients residing in our Supported Accommodation Facilities located in Kingswood.

About you:

To be considered for this role, you will be passionate about the disability industry and committed to providing a client-centered and individualised care approach. You will also be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, a genuine, compassionate nature and a commitment to engage with our culture and the values SACARE live and breathe.

The minimum requirements:

• Current unencumbered AHPRA registration
• Advanced Life Support- highly desirable
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Advanced Life Support Certificate
• Current Manual Handling Certificate
• Current unrestricted Driver’s License
• Current NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
• Understanding of Ventilator, Tracheostomy and PEG management-highly desirable
• Experience working with individuals with a disability
• Emergency Department and intensive care experience-highly desirable
